On Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m. a car accident occurred in West Hempstead, according to a news release from the Nassau County Police Department.
According to the release, an 82-year-old woman was driving a 2020 Honda southbound on Nassau Boulevard. She had a 70-year-old woman in her passenger seat. The woman struck a 28-year-old man operating a 2016 Mazda who was driving northbound.
As a result of the collision, the operator of the Honda suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. At time of the release, she was listed in critical but stable condition.
The passenger and the Mazda driver were also brought to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
The investigation is on going, according to NCPD.
