Malverne School District announced that board of education trustee Jeanne D’Esposito has been elected to serve on the Nassau Board of Cooperative Educational Services Board of Education.
Ms. D’Esposito, a longtime Malverne resident and dedicated member of the district’s board of education, was selected as part of the annual BOCES board election, in which trustees from component school districts across Nassau County vote to fill open seats.
“We are incredibly proud of Jeanne and this well-deserved recognition,” said Malverne Superintendent of Schools Dr. Maria Rianna. “Her commitment to students, families and public education has been unwavering, and we are confident she will bring the same passion and leadership to her work with Nassau BOCES.”
The Nassau BOCES Board plays a vital role in supporting public school districts throughout Nassau County by providing shared educational programs and services, including career and technical education, special education and professional development opportunities for educators. Board members are elected from among local district trustees and offer regional leadership and oversight.
Ms. D’Esposito has served on the Malverne Board of Education for 10 years, contributing to district initiatives focused on academic excellence, equity and opportunity for all students and will continue to do so. In addition to her local service, she has been actively involved in regional school board leadership through organizations such as the Nassau Suffolk School Boards Association, LLP, for which she presently serves as its Nassau County Vice President.
“It is an honor to represent all Nassau County stakeholders in public education and to be a voice for the Malverne School District community at the regional level,” said Ms. D’Esposito. “I look forward to collaborating with colleagues across Nassau County to expand opportunities and strengthen programs that benefit all students.”
Her election to the Nassau BOCES Board reflects both her deep experience in educational leadership and the high regard in which she is held by fellow board members across the county.
