Arrests
On March 14 a 9:05 p.m., a 35-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection after an incident at the BP gas station at 400 Sunrise Highway on Oct. 21, 2021.
At 3:43 a.m. on March 15, a 21-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with passing a red light, aggravated unlicensed operation and various vehicle and traffic law violations on Horton Avenue.
A 46-year-old Hempstead woman was arrested and charged with improper plates, aggravated unlicensed operation and various vehicle and traffic law violations on Remsen Street.
On March 16 at 12:45 p.m., a 37-year-old from Jamaica, Queens, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and various vehicle and traffic law violations on Hendrickson Avenue.
At 4:45 a.m. on March 19, a 34-year-old Franklin Square man was arrested and charged with obstructing traffic at an intersection and driving while intoxicated on Ocean Avenue.
Grand larceny
A resident of Clifford Street reported that an unknown man removed envelopes from his mailbox on March 17 at about 12:58 p.m.
Criminal impersonation and petit larceny
On March 19 at 6:15 p.m., an unknown man entered 16 Handles, at 27 Atlantic Ave., and posed as a fire inspector. He conducted a false inspection and presented an employee with a $200 bill.
Possession of a skimmer device
At 5 p.m. on March 20, the manager of CVS, 663 Merrick Road, notified police that a skimming device was found on the Bethpage Federal Cred Union ATM, which is in the lobby of the store. Such devices are typically used to steal a cardholder’s information.
