Dance, dance, jump in East Rockaway
Cultural Arts Festival showcases local young talent
The Dance Space along with the East Rockaway Recreation Center, sponsored the first Cultural Arts Festival in Memorial Park last Saturday. where the dance studio held its first summer recital.
The dancers took the stage at 11 a.m. and wowed the crowd with their steps. The girls all danced to summer songs and entertained the crowd of over 150 people.
A little later in the afternoon, members from Five Star Sports and Entertainment Academy took advantage of the beautiful weather and showcased some of their best youth gymnastic talent. Under the direction of coordinator Lane Clark, They included Max Henry, of Malverne; Sha Mualimm-ak, of The Bronx; Christian Dambreville, of Baldwin, Marco Sebazco, of East Rockaway, Kristen Alm, of Massapequa, and James Russell of Bay Shore.
