Ochtera said that the board had received about 30 applications so far, and that the deadline was March 31. “That number is right on par,” she said. “After that point, we will sift through the resumes.” She added that there had not yet been any applications from inside the district, but board members had consulted with nearby districts that have recently conducted or are in the process of conducting superintendents searches, including Lynbrook, Oceanside and Baldwin.
