A plethora of pickles were on the menu during the Plattdeutsche Park Restaurant’s first annual Picklefest, hosted in the restaurant’s Biergarten and courtyard, the weekend of July 11-12.

Hundreds of festival goers and pickle-lovers joined the evening celebration, eating an assortment of pickle-themed foods such as pickle schnitzel sandwiches, pickle pizza, pickle potato pancakes, and pickle-infused desserts such as cornbread, ice cream and popcorn.

Adults were also offered special cocktails, such as dill pickle martinis, pickle margaritas and pickle sours. Younger guests with adventurous palates sipped on pickle lemonade.

Children played catch and drew with chalk in the courtyard as the 90s Band, which frequently performs at the Plattdeutsche, played an upbeat set of classic hits from the decade as guests sang and danced along.
