Elmont High School Key Club members, from left, Stephanie Derisma, Alanis Smith, Rhuby Toussaint, Shekina Rousseau and Loick St. Louis were among those who served food at a pasta dinner held for Hurricane Sandy victims on Nov. 13.
With so many local residents and families devastated by Hurricane Sandy, Elmont High School hosted a pasta dinner to raise funds and bring community members together.
On. Nov. 13, the Elmont faculty hosted the dinner in the school’s cafeteria and accepted monetary donations rather than clothing or food. Elmont students also lent a hand with members of the Elmont Key Club serving food to those in attendance. Faculty members brought their families to dine with students and local families alike.
