Tents, tables and displays covered the boardwalk from Edwards Boulevard to Long Beach Boulevard, as more than 150 local business put their goods on display at the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce annual vendor fair.

Taking place for eight hours on Saturday, June 20, and seven hours on Sunday, June 21, attendees had more than enough time to stroll the boardwalk, soak in the sun and check out everything that the small businesses had to offer, from jewelry and clothes to honey and plants — with several vendors overlapping as regulars at the weekly Kennedy Plaza farmers market.

For the first half of Saturday’s vendor fair, Mount Sinai South Nassau Health Fair concurrently set up along the boardwalk to provide free health screenings including anxiety and depression, blood pressure, body mass index, balance, cholesterol and more.

The Chamber also had a station along the route selling ice-cold bottled water on the hot summer days as a fundraiser for Long Beach Soup Kitchen. By the end of the two-day event, the Chamber of Commerce raised $2,000 to support the nonprofit, volunteer-based organization.
