Aaron Birnbaum, who graduated from Kennedy High School on June 23, has played viola at area nursing homes, participated in the school’s environmental club and his synagogue’s youth group, raised money for cancer research through Relay for Life and coached younger students’ reading. A new place to play in Merrick

A new playground recently opened at Julian Lane Park in Merrick. The state-of-the-art, multi-activity play structure features slides, climbers, tubes and game stations, as well as an ultra-modern safety surface intended to cushion any fall and prevent possible injury.
