Police looking for subject in Island Park assault

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public's help identifying the subject in connection with an assault which occurred in Island Park on Aug. 1.

On that day at approximately 8 p.m., a man came into in the Island Park Chinese Restaurant, located at 236 Long Beach Rd, yelling and cursing at the employee. The subject then turned to the 28 year old male victim who was a patron waiting for his food and punched him in the face. The victim suffered physical injuries including a broken nose. The subject is described as a white male, approximately 30-35 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 175 lbs. with brown eyes, short dirty blond hair, wearing a short sleeve shirt and long Khaki colored pants. The subject left the restaurant in an unknown direction, possibly in a Black SUV.
