School 6 and Castleton celebrate Earth Day together

Posted

School 6 Kindergarten students put on a performance of song, dance, skits and poetry to share what they learned about caring for the earth and its environment. Castleton students worked behind the scenes, helping with the artwork and the hats that the children wore (each class had a unique hat and performance to go with it) and also served as emcees at the event.

Later, all of the kindergarten students and their teachers assembled to plant several hydrangea bushes along the perimeter of the playground near School 6’s entrance.

On Saturday, a group of children from Mrs. Erica Chasan’s class went to Trader Joe’s where they had designed Earth Day reminder signs for the shopping carts.
