“The Man Who Planted Trees”
Long Island Children’s Museum welcomes the Puppet State Theatre Company of Edinburgh, Scotland. The troupe presents the international, award-winning hit “The Man Who Planted Trees.” It is a unique blend of comedy, puppetry and inspired storytelling combined with the captivating adaptation of Jean Giono’s environmental cult classic. Dinah Shore Celebrated
The entertainer is remembered at “A Celebration of the Life and Music of Dinah Shore” starring Lynn DiMenna. DiMenna, a celebrated cabaret performer and radio correspondent, accompanied by her musical trio, brings the audience a choice sampling from the songbook of one of radio and television’s most popular personalities for nearly a half-century. Enjoy this Dinah Shore birthday celebration, and delight in favorites such as “For Sentimental Reasons,” “It All Depends on You,” “I’ll Walk Alone,” and “Blues in the Night.”
