Carmine Gotti Agnello, the 40-year-old grandson of John Gotti, was arrested yesterday after an alleged incident in East Norwich on Tuesday. According to the Nassau County Police Department, officers responded to a domestic disturbance involving Gotti Agnello and a 29-year-old woman Tuesday night.
The incident began with a verbal argument but escalated into a physical alteraction, according to police. Gotti Agnello allegedly slapped and punched the woman multiple times before attempting to choke her, police said. He then threw her cellphone to the ground, breaking the phone.
Gotti Agnello was located and arrested on Wednesday. He is charged with second degreee criminal mischief, third degree assault, and criminal obstruction of breathing. He will be arraigned Thusday at First District Court in Hempstead.
