Earthy rhythms, rich harmonies, and an exciting band and percussion section are the hallmarks of the award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir, featured at Tilles Center this weekend. Another musical option is the South Shore Symphony Orchestra, which performs at Molloy's Madison Theatre. For the kids, the Harlem Globetrotters have arrived at Nassau Coliseum.

he South Shore Symphony Orchestra, under the musical direction of Scott Jackson Wiley, will perform at South Side Middle School on March 26 at 8 p.m. The 65-member orchestra will play Moussorgsky-Ravel’s “Pictures at an Exhibition,” “Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7” as well as “Brooklyn-Bound F Train” in the Long Island premier of a piece by Ethan D’Ver that was performed by the New York
Philharmonic during its School Day Concert series last May.
