Flash is headed to Towson

WHHS student set to play Division I basketball next year

West Hempstead High School student and hoop-star Jamel Flash recently signed a letter of intent to play Division I basketball next year at Towson University in Maryland. Flash, a 6-11 center for the Rams boys' varsity squad, received a full-scholarship from the university. Towson competes in the Colonial Athletic Association.

During the Rams season last year, Flash averaged 12.2 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.1 blocks. The team finished 12-0 in conference play and 15-5 overall.
