A shooting occurred the afternoon of March 19 in Lakeview, leaving one woman hospitalized, Nassau County Police said. The investigation is continuing.
According to police, officers responded to a 911 call near Owasco Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman, who sustained what was said to be a non-life-threatening injury.
At the March 19 Lakeview Civic Association meeting, Nasssu police spoke and when questioned about the shooting, they said the alleged shooter remained at large. Police said the woman and the other person know each other.
