On Saturday July 23, the NuHealth and Nassau University Medical Center held its 12th annual staff picnic, where Dr. Victor Politi, president and CEO, and the executive staff cooked and served the food. The A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility and NUMC therapeutic recreation staff worked together to provide a fun-filled day for all the children who attended.
Activities included face painting, temporary tattoos, arts and crafts, a hot potato game, water relay races, hula-hoop games and a water balloon toss. Everyone danced to the music provided by NUMC’s Walter Lazauskas, John Walters Music. Deborah Perrone, director of food and nutrition, provided the barbecue meal with the cooking done by Sam and Mr. Heatley.
