WHMS students honored for service

The following West Hempstead Middle School students, who were named Students of the Month for September, were recognized for their outstanding school and community service: From left, Principal Marcia Murray with Ross Schimmenti (sixth grade), Stephanie Torres (seventh grade), Hussaine Khan (seventh grade), Gregory Leonard (eighth grade) and Rayquan Crawley (eighth grade). Student Hannah Iseson, a sixth grader, is missing from the photo, but was also recognized for her accomplishments.
