Assemblyman Brian Curran, a Republican representing the 14th A.D., held the Women of Distinction Awards ceremony on Sept. 22, at the Lynbrook Library.

“I am proud to be able to honor these extraordinary women, whose achievements and dedication have improved the quality of life in our community,” said Curran of the awards. “We are very lucky to have these women as our friends and neighbors. Special thanks go to the families of our honorees, who have allowed their loved ones to spend so much time caring for others.

“On behalf of all the residents of the 14th Assembly District and the great State of New York,” Curran said, “I thank each honoree for her hard work and tireless efforts, and I look forward to working together to make our community an even better place to live, work and raise a family.”
