The Oceanside Sailors rolled to a convincing 51–14 league victory over the visiting Port Washington Vikings on Saturday, handing the visitors their first loss and improving the Sailors’ record to 2–1.

Oceanside’s offense produced points in bunches while the defense held Port Washington to just 14 points, limiting the Vikings’ opportunities and forcing the Sailors into control throughout the afternoon. The result showcased a team clicking on both sides of the ball and set a confident tone heading into a big road test.

The Sailors travel to Massapequa for a Section 8 Conference I matchup on Saturday, Oct. 4. Massapequa enters the contest unbeaten at 3–0 after a 41–6 league win over Hempstead.
