Aloise Spinner Humm, of Upper Brookville, Oyster Bay, has died. She was the widow of John Humm, Jr., and daughter of George and Anna Spinner. She is survived by her five daughters, Roberta Humm Greene, Denise Humm-Delgado, Leslie Humm Cormier, Janine Humm Kyritsis, and Annette Humm Keen, their spouses, and her six grandchildren, Laura, Barbara, Kenneth, Alexander, Zachary, and John.

Aloise Humm had been very enthusiastic in volunteer and charity activities in Brookville for decades, as President of the Brookville School Council, a Brownie scout leader, President of the Brookville Garden Club, on the Board of Elections, and particularly dedicated to fund-raising for the AHRC, Association for the Help of Retarded Children. She loved entertaining in her Brookville home, with her husband John, for her clubs and charities.

Though circumspect about her age, she was said to be 87 when she died at Marquis Nursing Home on March 24, 2012. She was interred in the Brookville Cemetery, after a service at St. Dominic RC Church, Oyster Bay. Remembrances in her name may be made to AHRC, Day Break, or to St. Dominic RC Church.
